Wataru Oikawa Shrestha is a visual artist and maker specializing in ring making and wearable art. He studied at Kathmandu University and later at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where he learned jewelry and metalworking techniques from experts in Boston. Being half Japanese, he has spent time traveling and exploring different approaches to craft and making.
In his workshops, Wataru guides participants through the process of creating their own handcrafted ring—from raw material to finished piece—emphasizing the personal connection between the maker and the object they create. Each participant leaves not only with new skills, but with a ring shaped by their own hands and story.
